Despite the fact that the Scalawag is a US flagged vessel,
we were prohibited from landing the public harbor by the harbormaster.
For a week we requested to schedule a time to enter and take on fuel and
water, but were denied without explanation and told to go to sea to the next
port. Corrupt officials are alive and well today in modern day Hawaii.
We proceeded to Lanai where we found an honest harbormaster and were able to land and take on supplies. |
